Ingredients

  • A pinch of sea salt
  • 15 pitted Medjool dates
  • 1.5 tablespoon all-natural almond or peanut butter smooth
  • 1.5 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder with additional for rolling
  • 1 tablespoon milk of your choice almond, coconut, or even water
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon almond meal or shredded coconut for rolling

Instructions

  • Add the pitted Medjool dates, smooth almond or peanut butter, unsweetened cocoa powder, your preferred milk or water, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt to a food processor. Process the mixture until it reaches a uniform, dough-like texture.
  • To prepare for rolling the truffles, lay out a tray or large plate and scatter a couple of tablespoons of cocoa powder across the surface.
  • Moisten your hands slightly to make it easier to work with the mixture. Scoop up a spoonful and form it into a firm ball. Place the formed ball onto the cocoa powder-covered tray or plate.
  • Gently roll each truffle in the cocoa powder until they are fully coated. Alternatively, you can use almond meal, shredded coconut, or chia seeds for a different outer texture.
  • Transfer the truffles to an airtight container, sprinkling additional cocoa powder between layers to avoid sticking. Store the container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Share these guilt-free treats with loved ones, or enjoy them on your own whenever a craving strikes!
