Chocolate & Orange Bread Pudding

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf day-old bread cubed (about 8 cups)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 200 g dark chocolate chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Place bread cubes in a large bowl. In another bowl, whisk milk, cream, eggs, sugar, orange zest, juice, and vanilla.
  • Add chocolate to bread. Pour custard over, gently fold. Let sit for 30 minutes.
  • Pour into a greased baking dish. Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes until set and golden.
  • Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
