Chocolate Chili Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cups cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ¼ cup salted butter room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper powder
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • In the mixing bowl of a kitchen stand mixer with the paddle attachment, add the room temperature butter and granulated sugar. Cream together until fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time and vanilla extract.
  • Sift the flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cayenne pepper powder together and slowly incorporate it into the wet ingredients.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and with a spoon, drop the cookie dough onto the baking sheet leaving a few inches between each cookie.
  • Bake the cookies for 9-11 minutes.
  • Remove them from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack to cool. Serve and enjoy!
