In the mixing bowl of a kitchen stand mixer with the paddle attachment, add the room temperature butter and granulated sugar. Cream together until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time and vanilla extract.
Sift the flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cayenne pepper powder together and slowly incorporate it into the wet ingredients.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and with a spoon, drop the cookie dough onto the baking sheet leaving a few inches between each cookie.
Bake the cookies for 9-11 minutes.
Remove them from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack to cool. Serve and enjoy!
