Cardamom Rose Latte

Equipment

  • Handheld milk frother (or fancy countertop coffee frother if you have one)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 shot of espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • ¾ cups whole milk
  • 2 green cardamom pods
  • ¼ teaspoon rose water
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar
  • teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Rose pedals for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Brew 1 shot of espresso or very strong coffee.
  • Add the milk to a small saucepan.
  • Crush the 2 cardamom pods to release the flavor (just smash it a little under a cup or something) and add them to the milk along with the rose water.
  • Turn the stove on low-medium heat and heat up the milk until it steams. Do not boil it!
  • Remove it from the heat and filter out the cardamom pods. Pour the hot milk into a large coffee mug.
  • Add the honey and vanilla extract.
  • With a handheld milk frother, froth the milk until it is foamy and has almost doubled in size.
  • Pour the brewed espresso into the frothed milk.
  • Garnish with rose pedals (optional) and enjoy it while it’s hot!
