Caramelized Mushrooms

This delicious caramelized mushrooms recipe is the perfect mushrooms side dish for steaks or burgers. White mushrooms are cooked with butter and garlic until brown and crispy.

Ingredients
  

  • 24 ounces white button mushrooms
  • 3 ½ tablespoons butter salted
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • ¾ teaspoons fresh cracked pepper
  • ¾ teaspoons crushed red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic or 4-5 cloves of fresh garlic

Instructions
 

  • Clean all of the mushrooms with a damp paper towel or kitchen cloth
  • Cut the end off of the stem and slice all of the mushrooms into pieces
  • Add all of the ingredients to a large pot and begin to sauté on medium to high heat stirring frequently
  • Continue sautéing until butter cooks away and mushrooms become brown, crispy and caramelized- about 20 minutes. Serve with steaks or burgers
